As a sports parent, I noticed the sideline was always filled with distracted parents recording their kids for other people. I wanted nothing more than to change that for them. I started covering every game I could to gain skills and game knowledge (honestly, some grit too), and offered my gameday coverage to parents free of charge. After a few seasons and a reputation, I noticed a huge shift in how parents engaged during games knowing that they could be more present. Entrusting me with the stress of capturing plays and key moments and allowing them the opportunity to scream as loud as they could.
